Reid is a 2 ½ year old little guy who was born with Down Syndrome. His parents are both from Allen County. His mom and dad just had another baby, so he is now the proud big brother of a little sister.
Reid has been participating in the Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities’ Help Me Grow Services since he was born. He currently receives Help Me Grow and Early Intervention services. His Early Intervention Specialist, Rachael Staley, and a speech therapist visit his house and work with him in his home along side of his parents. Rachael has had the privilege of working with Reid since he was born. She shares that he is truly one of the happiest little guys with whom she has had the opportunity to work. Reid is very determined and strong willed, as are most 2 ½ year olds!
Reid’s parents had many positive things to say about the Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities and the services that they receive. Not only is it convenient and very flexible around our schedules, but the amount of resources they give has been life saving!! They have made a difference in how we work with Reid.
